The most important thing, as someone mentioned, no more crappy discs! No gaps or other glitches between tracks, no pops, no skips, no missing tracks, etc. You have a perfect copy of the original every time. You can fit about 115 minutes of music on one 700 MB disc. The free MKWACT program makes it easy to convert SHN files to audio format, but you can also use the free SHNAMP plugin for the free WINAMP player to play SHN files on your computer. And depending on how close your computer is to your stereo, you can use the "line out" connection on your computer to play them on your stereo with (depending on your computer's sound card perhaps) no loss in quality. Feel free to e-mail me with questions. Here's a suggestion, how about a meeting of Oz Lucky-Towners before the show for a beer and a few snags or something...??? Also should we organise some kind of ticket exchange to help those with spares hook up with those without......we did it before when I lived in Manchester, and the hand shakes and delighted faces when we passed on the tix gave a real good feeling!!!!!!!! To people who really need it, or really get happy for it. People like me who can't afford things and have to count every cent when they go shopping. So I'll give away three things, with the main thing being money, 10 dollars. Maybe it's not much but for some it might be, I know it'd be for me. These were meant for christmas present to myself, but I'm giving it to someone it really matters who maybe don't have one dollar extra in their wallet. I'm not sure this malinglist is the best for that, cause if you can afford buying boots, cd's and tickets like many do here, you're not short of money. But maybe some are like me and can't afford it. There's others giving away cd freebies, and I don't have a burner so I try to pick something more personal instead. The conditions are this: You have to give a reason why you need or want this money/items (and with the money, what you will do with it, and preferably show me what you got for it later. I'm a naive person and don't want to get tricked, so please give a good explanation). One of each: 1) 10$ US 2) A handsigned autographed hockeycard by either superstar John Leclair (Philadelphia Flyers) or Pavel Bure (New York Rangers), your choice. 3) Newsarticles from Swedish papers 1999 tour Bruce Springsteen, might be interesting for an odd stuff collector I've tried to find more things but can't really find anything good. These 3 are also cheap for me to ship anywhere in the world. If this seems pathetic or like nothing to give away, I can ensure you it is for me. If you can advice of another list where this is more needed or appreciated please do. Thanks. I'll put a deadline to Sunday 15th December. Ever make a promise you never thought you'd have to keep? That's what my wife is thinking right now. We're just now beginning to put 1+1 together. We were planning a trip to Australia for next year. She's a teacher. Our available times were, of course, summer vacation AND SPRING BREAK. As luck would have it we were talking about those plans and it dawned on me the Australian tour is in March - AND... yes indeed the same week as Melbourne and Sydney is spring break. My wife said only way we'd be seeing a show overseas is if it coincides with spring break or summer vacation - I've never seen a show outside the U.S. - and now she's paying the piper! But I don't have much time. Before I put this trip together in a hurry, tix would be my first priority. I read in RMAS or AOL that Australia is sold out now. But what if a guy wanted tix? Who can help? What's face value (in U.S. dollars)? Where can I find a venue seating chart? I'm flexible with regards to Sydney/Melbourne. I'm not going to be greedy... I just need a pair to either show... and while I'd like the best seats possible, of course, I'd take any seats period. There are alot of T's to cross and I's to dot for this to work - so I'm also looking for someone who can wait it out a week or two while a travel agent puts it altogether for us as well. The airfare and hotel are marginal concerns... really we're going to be begging all our family and friends to watch our children for 9 days. Well... Tix Down Under, let's cross that bridge first. Can anyone help?
