I cannot and will not referee disputed transactions, and do not want this list used to dispute sales/trades. You're on your own; protect yourself as you would when buying anything from any stranger on the internet. It's rare for people to get cheated here, but it has sometimes happened. Please take any disputes to private mail or to newsgroup rec.music.artists.springsteen. If this list starts getting abused with "bad trader alerts" and the like, I will shut it down. Pre Docklands show gathering. I'm going to be doing a stint overseas in the run up to the show for about 8 weeks or so, so will make organisation harder. Any chance there's a volunteer out there who'd do a joint job with me? We really only need a venue and a time. My initial thinking went to that new park in Melbourne Birraboyng Mar or whatever it was called (I'll check). They'll have barby facilities available, we all bring something to cook and and some of the amber fluid and away we go! It's walking distance from the venue too. Hope to hear from someone!!!!! This is too good a chance to miss. 2. I recently recieved a Rising show from a kind lady who's details I've lost by updating my OS (a curse on Gates). Could she please email me if she reads this!!!!!!!! 3. Does anyone out there no a Melbourne Springsteen fan called John Stolar? He was a great trader and helped me a lot a while back, have lost all contact and would love to get back in touch. Unless I owe him money of course. Roll on the shows. Geoff geofftess@ozemail.com.au I want to be where the band is!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially non-New Englanders, please sell your extras to a New Englander that could not get through! :-) Really, though, if anything frees up, please save my email address. Thanks! No luck, before the show even started they were sold out of all but small sizes! Is there anyone out there going to either Columbus or Indianapolis that would be willing to pick them up for us and send them to us? I know it's a lot to ask, but these were our Christmas presents to ourselves and we would love to have them. Also, I am looking for copies of the Albany and/or Buffalo shows. I don't really have much to trade (and no burner), but if anyone can help, I'd be grateful! Thanks!!! I'll bring my cell phone. The number is 847 767 4459. We should be rollin' into Indianapolis by around 5 p.m. Thanks. Rich ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Dec 2002 17:12:55 -0500 (EST) From: billellenconlon@webtv.net (William Conlon) Subject: Free CDs given away Free copies of Coliseum Night are soon to be mailed to Ann and Ray, who gave what I consider the best answers to my Name 3 Seasonal Songs You'd Like to Hear Bruce Cover contest. Ann suggested John Lennon's Happy Christmas (War Is Over), which I can so clearly imagine (no lennonism intended) Bruce doing. While a couple other folks suggested Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth, Ann wants to hear it as a duet with Bono. Finally, she was one of many who thought of I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. Ray wins based on originality. The Rolling Stones' "Winter" from Goats Head Soup, Joni Mitchell's "River" (an inspired choice) from the album Blue, and "Santa Claus Is Back In Town," Elvis' best (and dirtiest) Christmas song ever! Do I own a burner? Nope. I get a friend to burn copies every so often and give most of them away to LTD people. Do you own a burner? Well then, Ebenezer, offer to mail a few shows to strangers. A huge HoHoHo to the many who have done so. End of self-righteous sermon. Hope everyone has a great year's end.
