I cannot and will not referee disputed transactions, and do not want this list used to dispute sales/trades. You're on your own; protect yourself as you would when buying anything from any stranger on the internet. It's rare for people to get cheated here, but it has sometimes happened. Please take any disputes to private mail or to newsgroup rec.music.artists.springsteen. If this list starts getting abused with "bad trader alerts" and the like, I will shut it down. Fans who taped were indeed busted quite often on the last tour. Usually they were kicked out of the building, after having had their drivers licenses taken and photocopied. Sometimes their recording equipment was stolen from them by Bruce's security personnel. The face book existed, although it included the pictures of fan/photographers who'd been caught as well as fan/tapers. On at least one occasion fan/tapers were physically assaulted by a well known Springsteen employee for no reason other than he knew he could get away with it. Think about that the next time you hear Bruce sing "Tom Joad". Yes, Springsteen is a control freak who's afraid any little misstep during a show will be heard around the world through recordings made by fans. But he's also the greatest rock and roll performer of his generation, fronting the greatest rock and roll band of all time. He plays to sold out arenas and stadiums all over the world, making something like a million bucks a night doing what he loves to do. To expect fans who love his music to NOT tape his live shows is like expecting rabid football fans to NOT tape the Super Bowl. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Jan 2003 18:54:09 +0100 From: "Ralf" Subject: Rising bootlegs I'm looking for the following CDR's from the Rising tour: - - Houston 11-04 - - Lexington 11-14 - - Atlanta 12-02 - - Pittsburgh 12-04 - - Toronto 12-05 - - Charlotte 12-08 - - Columbus 12-16 Does anyone out there have any of these?
